Welcome to the East County Branch of the NAACP. It is a privilege to have you.

This branch has been in the forefront of the struggle for equality and the campaign for the educational, social, and polictical well-being of residents of East Contra Costa County starting with the City of Pittsburg in 1955.

The branch represents the interest of those that feel they have no voice or the courage to stand up for their rights.

Our priorities include: increase high school graduation, voter registration, home ownership; and reduction in health and wealth disparities. The NAACP is a non profit organization, and our operations are funded and sustained through the contributions of members and sponsors. We invite you to become a member today or attend some of our events as a way of supporting us. You can join immediately at www.naacp.org and please remember to select Unit #1055 as your local branch.

We meet at 7:00 p.m. every 4th Thursday of the month at 301 West 10th Street, Antioch. We look forward to seeing you and thank you for your interest in the NAACP

Are you looking to get involved in your community? NAACP of East Contra Costa County offers a network of individuals interested in making a change in the lives of those in their community. We are working together with city and district leaders as well as municipalities to ensure that civil rights are upheld for all people.
100 Years. The NAACP is the nation’s most feared, most respected, most revered, most trusted, and most effective rights organization in this country. Its strength has always been in its members, in its network of 1700 branches across the country, and in its ability to tap into the creativity and resiliency of the African-American people to create programs that works. The East County Branch salutes the NAACP on its 100th anniversary!
